50 Pieces

These pieces were all focused on natural elements of the world, whether they be the human figure, natural shapes, or natural colors.  These are the most significant of my 50 pieces that I created in order to showcase my natural elements.  Each piece was meant to feel cohesive with the next, while also being completely separate from any other piece.

Sound Sculpture

My sound sculpture was inspired by the nature of honey bees.  This sculpture is composed of four separate ceramic pieces set on a wooden base.  I wanted to create a piece that evoked a natural feeling in all aspects, which is why I decided to use all earth tones in the glaze colors, as well as using bee's wax as a varnish on the base.  Using the sound of bees under the base created the illusion of a real beehive.
