Emphasis

This video was made to emphasize the overuse of plastic bags in our lives.  For one week, I collected plastic bags from friends in order to see just how many bags we receive.  All the bags were separated by color and then tied together in order to create a long rope.  I then sectioned the bags and cut them into three separate pieces to braid together.  Once braided, I formed a braided floor mat out of them.  This floor mat was meant to show how our overuse of plastic bags will one day overtake the earth, and be come the surface itself.

Balance 

This picture series was to showcase balance among a pile of coins.  I separated out pennies, arranged them, by heads and tails, and then arranged those two piles into how shiny or dirty the pennies were. I started from the edges and worked into the center to create a balanced effect on the paper, making the outer edges fuller, almost framing the empty space in the center.  

Variety

In this video, I wore a variety of lipstick colors, ranging from lightest to darkest.  Lipstick for me has always been of major importance, because of how much it can change a look. Varying each color changed the way I perceived what type of personality I would have from wearing that color.  Light pinks made me feel a sweeter persona than the darker colors which gave off more of a punk aesthetic.  The song in the background is called "Scowl" by The Story So Far, and was chosen because of my stagnant face in the video.
